Plank walls - Part 2...

Chance and I primed the study wall to get it ready for paint, which we assumed we would do the same night. As we primed it with Zinsser BIN (side note - awesome primer that covers the knots really well!) the imperfections of the woood, holes in the knots, etc really shined through. I thought about painting over it and letting the knot holes come through, but this was not a cheap project (32 - 1x6x8 @ $4.98 each + tax = about $175) so I want it to be perfect. We took a break to let it dry thoroughly and I moved my attention to another room (guest bath...post to come!). Another night this week, I am going to get the wood filler back out and fill these spots. I want to have a perfect smooth wall. I also noticed that I some how missed sanding two of the nail holes and that shined through the primer as well.

So basically I will go back to the wood filler step and re-sand another night this week before painting.

Here are some pics from the room, and a close up to show the knot holes.
