Outdoor Kitchen Progress...

This post will be about my parent's outdoor kitchen and I will continue to update it so you have the latest breaking news and it stays at the top of my blog!

I'm finally getting around to posting updated pictures of my parents outdoor kitchen. We have enjoyed this so much and spend 99.9% of our time out here:

October 1:
The rock guys have finished and they have measured for the granite, so we are really excited about getting that delivered soon.

Here are a few pics of the rock work...

My parents installed the doors...aren't they so pretty?!

August 3:
Update! We have the electrical outlets all wired up. Thank goodness my parents got the outlets with the USB connection...way to think ahead!!

The stand alone bar section has also been framed out and my dad should have the concrete walls up by the end of the day...

July 23:
The beams are now stained and eventually my dad will stain the cedar planks, but he wants to do it a lighter color so it doesn't blend in with the dark beams.

The kitchen has been planned out and the interior concrete wall stuff has gone up, just need the rock guys to come out and create the walls. They also need to order the granite counter tops. The steel doors, fridge, ice maker, sink and grill are in!

They will also be putting up a horizontal style 8 ft fence (example below) in the back to cover the boat, but the sun still would beam in on us while in there, so they bought these really pretty shades that can roll up and down.

Electrical and plumbing has all been run and they now have 2 fans with lights out there. And the lights can dim! I just love that feature.

May 17th:
It's come a long way. The roofing is almost complete, the shingles are going up tomorrow.
Today, my mom and I got 2 chaise lounges for the far side of the pool. Here are some pics:

April 28th:
So here are just a few pictures of my dad and the guys working....

So my mom and I are really big into reading other people's blogs and we always have to point out to each other when people post a pic for the world to see and there is something incredibly hideous in the pic but they post it anyways. We play a game where we send each other pics and ask "how many things can you find wrong or out of place in this pic?" So I'm going to be one of those people right now...only because it is impossible to post updated pics throughout this outdoor kitchen process without getting the boat in the back. I have tried standing over by the boat but you can't get great pics from that angle...so for now, please ignore the massive boat in the background and just know that a fence will eventually go up, giving the boat its own area in the backyard. It's just unfortunate that the fence will be one of the last things to happen. So for now, don't judge ;)

More pics!

A cute pic I took of Rylee fetching her ball
