Change of plans....WE ARE BUILDING A HOME!

CHANGE OF HOUSE PLANS....

One day I was messing around online and was looking for new construction in the Coppell area (the area half way in between mine and Chance's work) and the only neighborhood I found started in the $650s....yeah way out of our price range. Maybe next year! ;)

So I started looking at other new construction areas in our price range and the only options that were anywhere near mine and Chance's jobs were in North Fort Worth. This area is really booming....so I've read. I know nothing about this area. It is about 25 miles to his job and 44 miles to my job.
After the boys flag football games were over I had plans to meet my realtor out in Fort Worth where some new houses are being built in our price range. Chance and I had always imagined renovating our first home because we assumed we could get more for our money...WRONG!

So I thought, what the heck, I'll just go check it out and see what they have to offer. My mom and sister, Stacey, wanted to come along too....well good thing they did because WE BOUGHT A LOT!

We drove around to a bunch of different neighborhoods and I just didn't have the best feeling about them...and then we pulled into a neighborhood and I fell in love! We are in between 1 large lake, 1 medium lake and 1 small lake...so Chance will probably convince me to get a boat I'm sure!

There was only one lot left so I got anxious and called Chance to come look at it. He was already on his way home from work and if he turned around it would've taken him forever because of Final Four traffic and the sales office was about to close. I had to make a decision then....so I FaceTimed Chance and showed him the model home, a home very similar to what we would build minus the second story, and the lot. He said he trusted me and to do whatever I wanted...so we bought it!

We break ground in a few weeks and it will be move-in ready by Halloween!

Let the search begin...

Here is our lot....

This is as if you were facing our front door

and this is if you were standing at the back of the fence looking at the back of the house

Garage door...

The study right when you walk in...The elevation we are going with will have these 3 windows.

Front door and foyer

Study - we've opted to keep the opening instead of doors and if one day we want to add doors then we can.

Foyer looking into the kitchen, dining, and living. In the place of the stairs we will have a fireplace and shelving area.

Here is the fireplace option we chose and we are hoping to be able to switch the shelving and fireplace location so the fireplace is more of a focal point

Kitchen (Granite countertops and molding on cabinets are all standard)

Laundry Room and door to the garage...Hall closet to the left...

Dining area...

Living room...

Master bedroom...

Master bath...

Standing in the living room, looking to the kitchen...

Extra bathroom...

This is the elevation we chose, but ours will be flip flopped, so garage entry on left.

This is a picture I sent to Chance showing him how much yard we would have. Its very important to us to have a large backyard for Rylee

We also opted for a covered patio

Our floor plan...but remember ours will be flip flopped

Our future neighbors...

I want to take Chance by this home because I really love this color brick with the lighter stone...

Thanks Carrie for all your help! We wouldn't have wanted any other realtor by our side during this process.

Here is a little information and some pictures of our neighborhood....that we will be raising babies in. The thought of buying a house that our babies will be born in, is just crazy to me!
