Snow in Texas!

In Texas we rarely get snow, it's usually just ice and it's awful!

But this year I was surprised by how much snow was pouring out of the sky...I've never seen anything like it here in Texas. We got 6 inches in a matter of hours...that's a big deal.

We were let out of work early on Friday because it hit around noon, so I went by my nephews school and grabbed him. Stace and Jason had gone down to Houston for the weekend, so Chance and I were watching Jax...and getting practice for what life is going to be like in a few years!

Here he is all cuddled up and ready to go....had we known it was going to take 3 hours just to get home, we would've packed more snacks! Stace had sent me with all his bags and snacks on Thursday night, so when I got home I had taken them out of my car. So all we had was a small bag of crackers I had leftover in my purse. Hey looky there...I already passed the first test...have a snack ready to go in your purse!

Over the weekend we played out in the yard, had snow ball fights and built a snowman!

Here are a few pics of our house covered in snow....our first snow pics of the house!

We came inside and Rylee went straight for the fire to warm up!

Jax and I cuddled in my warm bed...and I let him eat chips in my bed! Best aunt ever!
Sweet little face!

That night our neighbors, who we had been meaning to go over and meet for so long, stopped by to ask if we needed anything because they were risking the roads and heading out to the grocery store. While they were there Chance and I showed them around the house and they invited us over for dinner. We are so excited to have such awesome neighbors! Thanks for dinner Tara and Brian! It was delicious and we can't wait for more hangouts!

Getting ready to go next door for dinner, and so Jax can play with their 11 month old.

The next morning Jax insisted we have a superhero breakfast...and we couldn't say no to something as awesome as that!
