New York City with Chance

Departing: Dallas
Destination: New York City, NY

Dec 28:
Arrived in NYC!
We grabbed lunch at an awesome burger shack....I highly recommend it. We took it to go and ate in Central Park.

After walking around for a bit we decided to stop into the Museum of Natural History. A few tips: (1) you do not have to pay the full price of the ticket, if you read the fine print it says "suggested price", a lot of museums do this so if you are traveling on a budget you should know that you can still visit these awesome museums! (2) know that you could literally spend an entire day in here! I didn't read half the stuff, although I would've loved too, there was just too much. We only saw about 1/4 of it and were there for a few hours. We didn't even get to every floor!

That night Chance's uncle Kevin took us to dinner at Mario's for his birthday (it's the 29th).

Dec 29:
Happy birthday babe! Today Chance and I relaxed for his birthday and then I had big plans for us that night. We had a cab take us to the train station, rode on the train for a bit and landed in Manhattan. We had dinner at SushiSamba (so yummy!) and then walked down to this hole in the ground, most awesome comedy club (EastVille Comedy) either one of us has either been to. It was pretty small and the comedians were making fun of us the whole time which made it even better!

After the comedy club we went down to Webster Hall and had a blast!

I wish these videos didn't post side ways, but I thought they were really cool so I wanted to post them. The entertainment at this club is insane!

While there we ran into our friends from Denton!

Dec 30:
This day we (Chance) needed to "rest" haha. Kevin had to go to work and Louie just had gotten back in town so he took us to Downtown Huntington Station, which come to find out is where they taped most of Royal Pains! For dinner we ate at this cute restaurant/bar called Sapsuckers.

Dec 31:
We decided not to go into town tonight because it's just too crazy! Instead, we hung out at his uncles house and they had a party!

Jan 2:
Louie's brother, Joey (Rachel Rays make-up artist!) came and hung out for the day. Kevin cooked some great chili and then we went bowling for a few hours!

Jan 3:
Today Chance and I hung out in the Upper West Side and ate a neat sandwhich shop.

Today Kevin took us to his work. He works flight control for the government. It was really cool to see him working and talking to so many pilots! *no pics since we were inside a government building.

Then he took us by the real Amityville Horror house since we had watched the Ryan Reynolds version of it the night before. So spooky!

Jan 6:
Today we relaxed since Chance's ankle was really bothering him and went to see a movie (Zero Dark Thirty- so good!) In NY you pay extra when you buy cans or glass bottles and then you recycle them at the grocery store in these big bins, it prints a ticket, and you take the ticket to the register and they give you the money back that you originally spent. It's about .5 cents per can. So we were able to experience this with Kevin.
Then we ate some pizza and watched the movie Elf so the guys could see all the differences between the musical and the movie.

Jan 7: flew home :(

After getting home, these beauties were delivered to my office. They are beautiful "Thanks for everything" flowers! I hope you had a great birthday week babe! Love you.
