What an experience! The bullfighting was a little grotesque, but I love to submerge myself in the culture; however, I'll never be doing this one again!

One of the highlights of the Barcelona adventure, was driving to the top of the mountain and viewing the Templo Expiatori del Sagrat Cor that overlooks all of Barcelona!

Torcello was first settled in 452 and Ernest Hemingway event spent some time here while writing Across the River and Into the Trees!

Cathedral of Santa Maria de Fiore, built in 1296, was one of the most amazing cathedrals I saw on this European excursion!

The next day we took a tour of Siena, Italy!
We walked on the oldest street in Europe. This was a portion, in Siena, of the Pilgrimage that was made from France to Rome during the Middle Ages.
Then we spent the afternoon, strolling, eating and drinking through the vineyards of Tuscany.
After lunch, we needed to indulge in some afternoon treats, so we headed off to San Gimignano to get the World's Best Gelato! We ate a lot of gelato while in Europe and this was hands down the best!
We ended the day in Pisa!
The next day, we took a tour of Cinque Terre!
Next Stop: Rome, Italy
We toured the Sistine Chapel!
Threw pennies and made wishes in the Trevi Fountain!
Admired the beauty of the Spanish Steps!
Needed an afternoon tea and sweets!

The next day, we toured the Colosseum!
We also toured the Roman Forum!
We spent the afternoon strolling through street markets!
