WE'RE ENGAGED!

Since we had gotten a lot of things crossed off our to-do list for the house, we decided it was a great time to have both our families and friends over for a housewarming party. It never once occurred to me that Chance had plans to propose this same night...I guess I was too caught up in making sure the house looked good.

When we got off work Friday night we came home to a house that was still empty because we just got the floors replaced a few days before. We stayed up until 6am building our house back (pictures are posted on the "New Wood Floors" post). We got a few hours of sleep and then were back at it at 10am. Family showed up before we knew it, and we started serving appetizers and drinks and then all of a sudden it was time for dinner.

Chance said he wanted to give a thank you speech, but really he wanted to propose. So what did I do?  I started giving the thank you speech for us! At the end of my speech, Chance cut in and started talking about bringing our families together permanently and then was down on one knee. All this happened before I could even comprehend what was actually happening. I've wanted this for so long and wondered when he would do it. We talked prior to this day and he told me he still didn't have a ring and I believed him, but he had it the whole time! It was the best surprise and the best proposal. I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with this man...I'm incredibly lucky...and I couldn't have picked a better last name to marry into..I'm going to be a Taylor! Easiest last name ever!

This was also Kyler's birthday week...the BIG ONE ONE, so he opened birthday gifts and we all had a great night!
