Graduation & Party

 

The time has finally come...it's time to grow up. I HAVE GRADUATED! I couldn't be more exited to have reached this milestone in my life. I'm ready to close this chapter in my life and to see what the next one has to offer. I'm incredibly blessed to have had this opportunity, thank you mom and dad! I promise to make you guys proud. Thanks to everyone who supported me along the journey....the 7 year journey ;)

Not sure if you can see me in this one, but I'm in the second to last row, almost in the middle, with green jewels on my hat that said "Thanks Mom & Dad"!

I'm standing in line and I'm so anxious. My name is about to be called and all I keep saying is "don't trip, don't trip, don't trip"....."Lindsey Shurtleff"...it came so fast I almost wasn't prepared. I climb the stairs....ok that went smoothly....don't look down at your feet, you aren't going to trip, just look up and smile so the pictures look great....grab diploma from Dean....ok I almost dropped it that would've been great...go to shake hand, miss his hand, oh well I recovered nicely. And that's when it happened....I catch the front of my shoe and completely bust and fall on my face...haha just kidding, that didn't happen at all! But it would've been funny! I make it across stage just fine and I get to the end of the stage and Jason starts taking pictures....well he is trying, camera is taking too long....I'm waiting.....and waiting....I'm being told to exit the stage....still waiting and smiling...come on Jason!....the girl behind me is now on top of me, I start to exit the stage and my sleeve gets stuck on the railing and I'm forced to stop, or rip my gown. I finally make it off stage and around the corner to take pictures for UNT, after that I round the corner to go back to my seats. Jason is still standing there trying to get pics, so I slowlyyyyyyyy am walking back down the aisle. The girl behind me is again right on top of me and a lady that works for UNT asks me to step it up haha.

I graduated in the Summer so my family and friends wouldn't have to sit through a long ceremony, see you guys, I had this all planned out.....you are welcome!

When I walked in, the first thing I noticed were all the balloons hanging in the dining room....totes cute idea right?! Thank you Pinterest! But then I notice one thing.....most of these pictures that are attached to the balloons have to be the worst of the worst! But I'm a good sport because I like a good laugh.....even when people are laughing at me and my gap teeth! Thanks Stace for picking the worst pics and giving everyone something to laugh at :)
